The latest issue of Under The Influence is out now, and, in among a forest of pleasures, you will find my new interview with Thurston Moore, featuring photographs from the ever-awesome David Markey. You should get it. It’s massive and it’s beautiful and it’s very smart.
Meanwhile, my brother-in-arms Steve Gullick is the subject of what I believe is his third exhibition this year, with Keep Mum, a collection of his photography between the years of 2000-2005, which covers – in addition to much else – the years we were working on Careless Talk Costs Lives and Loose Lips Sink Ships. The exhibition is held at Glasgow’s Static Collective, and runs from June 28th to July 26th. Opening night, from 6.30pm, I’ll be leading a Q&A session with Steve, and later Stuart Braithwaite of Mogwai will be delivering the punishment we oh so richly crave from the DJ booth.
